Meet the Team
We are a team of dedicated professionals, ready to do what ever it takes to earn your trust.
Bob built SCF from the ground up. In 1979 he opened up shop with his dad, Art. Today Bob still leads the company, demanding integrity and accuracy in all aspects of the business. He has created an excellent working environment that continually creates better business practices. He also officiates MMA bouts on alternating Wednesdays.
“A relationship will bring more success than a sale ever will.” In line with the culture of our company, Taft makes sure our customers get the BEST VALUE EVERY DAY! To know Taft, is to… well.. is to know him. The only thing we can tell you is that he is the Grape Soda Chugging Champion of the Mid-West and continues to train diligently for Nationals. Wish him good luck!
Beth holds a true working class PhD. She has worked her way up through the ranks. In 1999, she came to SCF as a wall base installer, today Beth is one of our Project Managers. Though she is 4?11″ tall, she can out work any man twice her size! She is also the National Arm Wrestling Champion, 7 years running.
Tyson is a graduate of NAU. Having years of accounting experience, he keeps a steady hand and manages the HR and financial affairs of the company. To put himself through college, Tyson sold male hair extensions, and once had a 7 hour sales appointment with Donald Trump. It was huuuge!
We joke that Jeff can “speak to the trees” because he can make wood floors do anything he wants. Jeff was our best maple gym floor installer until a situation that may or may not have involved blackmail, forced us to bring him into the office as a Project Manager. He now is the PM for our Sport Floor Division.
In his spare time, Jeff likes to race solar powered funny cars. He is going to race in New Zealand this March.
Josh has been in the flooring business since he was a teenager. We brought him to Mesa from the Tucson market where he still services many key accounts. Josh travels the state building new and existing customers.
He has a regular article published in Quilters Monthly and Basket Weavers Quarterly.
Paul came to SCF as part of our procurement team and now takes care of our clients as an estimator. This guy doesn’t know the meaning of the word no. He’ll get it done no matter what! Paul traveled to Lichtenstein in 2017 to participate in their Trebuchet tournament. He won the tournament by fashioning a trebuchet from live trees on site and launching a VW bug the farthest.
Anthony cut his teeth on flooring installs. His dad taught him the trade as a teenager and he was running his own crews before he was twenty. His experience and demeanor in the field made him an excellent addition to our office staff. As a Project Manager, Anthony brings years of experience and communication skills to everything he does.
He recently pulled off a triple back flip while snowboarding in Vale, as he responded to an email about a change order request. Super Impressive and productive!
Jennifer has been estimating at SCF since 2008. She came to us with estimating experience that has served her well. Jennifer has a strong desire to find the BEST processes and make sure they get delivered.
Jennifer holds the national barrel racing record and wears her belt buckle every 3rd Thursday of the month in memory of the man that was killed when her quarter horse threw a shoe during practice.
Gina came to the SCF family with years of industry experience. From day one, she has fit into the culture of our company. She makes her customers the hero on every project she gets involved in. In her spare time, Gina enters team Mountain Board competitions with her granddaughter. Last season they took regionals, and they hope to make it to the world cup in Alberta next year.
In 2007, April came into the SCF family and has taken care of us ever since. From submittals and insurance compliance to close out packages and special projects, April dots the T?s and crosses the I?s. Thank goodness for spell check.
She is also known online by her alter ego, “Lady Amazing” with her punk rock band, The Salty Sensations. They play every Tuesday night at The Dirty Drummer. #RockOn
Ramon installed for us for 15 years before moving to the position of Field Superintendent. “Eagle Eye Garcia” keeps things moving and looking right. Although Ramon will turn 82 this year, he is an avid proponent of vitamins and exercise so his body age is only 32
